We started this giveaway because we kept seeing the same thing on our inspections — homeowners who clearly needed a new roof but were holding on because the timing just wasn't right. A fixed income. A medical bill. A family stretched thin. Good people in hard spots, doing their best to protect the home they'd worked their whole lives for.
We especially think about our veterans. The men and women who put everything on the line for this country often come home and ask for nothing. That's exactly why we want to be the ones to give something back — not a handshake, not a discount, but a brand-new roof. Fully installed. No strings attached.
This is what 25 years in this community looks like to us. We know these neighborhoods. We know these families. And when we have the ability to make a real difference for someone who needs it — we don't want to miss that chance. Every entry we read reminds us why we do this work in the first place.
Jerry served his country quietly and came home and got on with life — the way most veterans do. He didn't ask for recognition. He didn't expect anything. That's exactly the kind of person this giveaway is for. We were honored to put a brand-new roof over his head and even more honored to call him our neighbor.

Eligibility Requirements
All of the following criteria must be met for an entry to be considered. Campbell Construction reserves the right to rule on all eligibility questions.
Contest is for residential dwellings only. Commercial, investment, or rental properties are not eligible.
Property must be located in Morgan, Sangamon, Cass, or Scott County, Illinois.
Nominee must own and occupy the home. Property must not be in foreclosure or delinquent on property taxes.
Must be 18 years or older at time of entry. Nominee (property owner) must also be 18 or older.
Homeowners who have filed active insurance claims for the subject roof are not eligible to enter.
U.S. military veterans are encouraged to enter. Military ID will be required from veteran nominees.
All submissions must include at least one photo of the subject property. Email photos to info@clccroofing.com with your name and address after submitting the form.
Employees or immediate family members of Campbell Construction, its suppliers, or affiliated agencies are not eligible.
All nominees must sign a release waiver before being considered. Winner must allow use of photos and story in Campbell Construction marketing materials.
Official Contest Rules & Agreement
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. A purchase will not increase chances of winning. The C.L. Campbell Construction Free Roof Giveaway is open to eligible residents of Morgan, Sangamon, Cass, and Scott counties in Illinois. By submitting an entry, all entrants and nominees agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Campbell Construction, which are final.
- To enter, complete all portions of the Free Roof Giveaway Entry Form. An entry will only be considered if it is complete and submitted with full details by the entry acceptance deadline.
- Entries are accepted annually. Current entry period dates will be posted on this page and Campbell Construction's Facebook page.
- The winner will be announced on or around Veterans Day (November 11th) each year via Campbell Construction's Facebook page.
- ALL criteria of the contest must be met. Campbell Construction reserves the right to decline nominations, rule on eligibility, or re-assign prize if at any time contest criteria are not met.
- Contest is for RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGS only.
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of entry to nominate yourself or another homeowner, who must also be 18 years or older to be eligible.
- ANY and ALL nominated property owners must sign a release form acknowledging their acceptance and understanding of ALL giveaway requirements before being entered into the contest.
- Nominees must own and occupy the subject residence, which must not be in foreclosure or delinquent on property taxes.
- Identification for the property owner(s) must be provided on request.
- Proof of property ownership will be required by Campbell Construction.
- Homeowners who have filed insurance claims for the subject roof repair are not eligible.
- The home must be located in the State of Illinois in one of the following counties: Morgan, Scott, Cass, or Sangamon.
- Employees or immediate family members of C.L. Campbell Construction, their suppliers, or advertising/promotional agencies or affiliates are not eligible.
- Entrants are required to provide truthful information. Any change in property status during the contest period or prior to installation will disqualify the nominee.
- Veterans must provide a copy of their military ID.
- To enter, ALL portions of the Free Roof Giveaway Form must be completed.
- All submissions must include at least one photo of the subject property (email to info@clccroofing.com with your name and address after form submission).
- All materials submitted (including photos, videos, and testimonies) will become the property of Campbell Construction and will not be returned to nominee or nominator.
- All nominees are required to sign a release waiver BEFORE they will be considered for the giveaway.
- The homeowner must be willing to appear in media (TV, radio, social media, or other) and allow their story and/or personal image and the image of their home to be used in all forms of advertising or promotion.
- The top 4 entries will also receive a gift basket.
- ONE grand prize winner will receive ONE residential pitched roof replacement up to a maximum of 2,500 square feet of coverage, installed with Owens Corning Duration Shingles by Campbell Construction.
- Prize includes labor and materials. Approximate retail value is $15,000 USD.
- Property must be in working order and free of hazards, potential structural problems, or deficiencies beyond the scope of Campbell Construction's work. This includes sufficient structural support, and being free of mold, asbestos, and pests.
- Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
- All decisions of Campbell Construction are final and not subject to inquiry. No substitutions will be made.
- The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded. All prizes are non-transferable.
- Campbell Construction staff will inspect nominated roofs and determine eligibility and need.
- The winner will be announced annually via Campbell Construction's Facebook page on or around Veterans Day (November 11th).
- The winner will receive their new roof following the announcement (weather permitting). The winner must own the home at the time of installation. The home must not be subject to an agreement to sell, and the owner must live in the home for 2 years after installation or the full roof replacement cost will be repaid to Campbell Construction.
- The winner must read and agree to the final terms and conditions.
- Campbell Construction is not responsible for any expenses incurred during the application or voting process.
- In accepting the roof, the recipient acknowledges that Campbell Construction may not be held liable for any loss, damages, or injury associated with accepting this prize.
- Campbell Construction retains the right to make substitutions of equivalent materials or approximate value in the event of material unavailability.
- The free roof includes materials, labor, and disposal of all debris. Sheeting/decking, skylight replacement, and structural or interior leak repairs are NOT included.
- If the roof has a satellite dish, the dish (NOT the roof-mount bracket) must be removed and reinstalled by the satellite provider at the owner's expense. Campbell Construction will remove the roof-mount bracket.
